The folks at McDonald’s were looking for a track to capture the happy, posttive nature of this kids campaign. We proposed this upbeat song by a then unknown Ingrid Michaelson, which went down wonderfully with the creative team. The final result was a charming ad that was a complete success in Portugal.

For this Iberostar campaign, we had to put our multi-tasking talents into action. Not only did we produce original music for the main spot featuring Antonio Banderas, but there were also two other spots with distinct music, as well as and an extensive, interactive internet campaign that used no less than eight pieces of music. Quite the project!

In this campaign, we suggested and cleared the publishing rights to this classic Beatles track. Without a doubt, this is one of the most exclusive and select publishing catalogues in the world. We were looking for a song that matched the tone of the ad and embodied the message of the product. We’re big fans of the Beatles and we know very well how to go about licensing their work, as they are the group that we’ve licensed the most since our beginnings.

This campaign had it all. The most classic film of our time, two beloved Hollywood faces, and the music to go along with it all. For this one, we had to cover all the bases, not only licensing the film clip, but also the image rights to the actors, and the soundtrack. And the final result was a true homage to this great piece of cinematic history. A classic!

This campaign was, without a doubt, one of the most complicated we have taken on. First off, we had to license the track “Life on Mars.” Once we had completed this task, we had an even more difficult one waiting for us. Lovemonk was in charge of the musical production of the spot, which entailed recording a cover using 10 street musicians. We only had one day to rehearse (it’s not an easy song), structure it properly with the camera shots, make a demo, and then record the final product so that when the shooting began, the musicians could play along to the actual music that was to be featured. The filming took place the next day. It was mission impossible, and there were moments in which we didn’t think we’d make it. In the end, everything turned out great, thanks to our fantastic team, a few days with practically no sleep, and above all, the patience and wonderful job on the part of the musicians.

This project was quite complicated in its nature, as we had to obtain not only the music rights and the rights to use the film clips, but also the image rights of everyone who appears in the ads. With our keen investigative skills and lots of perseverence, we were able to reach the production deadline and we ended up with a pretty clever series of ads as our final product.
